Disneyland Pool!

The pool at our hotel had a splash pad! It was all pirate themed. There was a walk in pool that was only a foot deep, a huge pirate ship to climb that dumped a bucket of water on you, ground fountains and tall bubblers and several slides. It was so much fun!

Disneyland!

We had so much fun at Disneyland. Grandma and Grandpa Harrison came and we are thankful that they were there to help. Keilen loved the rollercoasters. I think she and Grandpa rode Space Mountain ten times. Brennen loved Buzz Lightyear. Shailey and Grandma loved SmallWorld and Dumbo. Shailey got to see all the princesses. Disneyland is beautiful decorated for Christmas. IT was a fun family trip!

our pumpkins

Sams pumpkin is Jack Skellington from Nightmare Before Christmas. Shailey calls them Skullicans. Keilen carved this one all by herself.
Shailey wanted Cinderella on the back is her castle.
Brennen started the spider and got pretty far into it and then I finished it. He added the word Boo on the side.

Birthday wishes

Shailey turned 3 on October 15 and Brennen turned 9 on October 17. Shailey had a bubble party and Brennen had a lego party. For the bubble party Grandpa mixed up a big pool of bubbles and the kids blew bubbles forever. With the lego party the kids built lego creations and did some building relays. Both kids received some wonderful presents. Brennen loves his catapult and Shailey loves her jack in the box thanks to Grandma and Grandpa. Brennen got a new bike and is enjoying that.

crazy week

This has been a crazy week. On Tuesday we were awakened to a popping and whizzing sound and an awful electrical smell. After searching the house for quite some time no fire or smoke was found. We called the fire dept. because the house was a bit hazy and we were concerned. They came and suggested the ac. When we turned on the ac the smell and haze were awful. So we turned off the ac. Thankfully it had poured the night before and wasnt too hot. The ac guy came and said the wiring and fuses had popped and burned and replaced all that. Thank goodness we have a home warranty.

Wednesday we had our master shower reglazed. Holy Cow the smell was so bad. We left all the windows open (It was 105 outside) and debated sleeping over at Grandma and Grandpas. The smell was giving the kids headaches. The shower looks great!

Thursday Brennen was diagnosed with Shingles. You should never google things unless you expect to learn worst case scenarios. I did learn that if you have chicken pox before 12 months you are prone to Shingles. Brennen had it when he was about 2 months. He says he is not in any pain so we will see how it goes.

That is all the excitement I can handle!

Mighty Mud Mania

No summer is complete without Mighty Mud Mania, it is HOT, Muddy and as Shailey says DISGUSTING! THe kids had fun! Mighty Mud Mania is hosted at Chapparal Park where Sam works.

What a sweet face. Shailey is 2 going on 16. She wants to do everything herself. She has to open all the doors, get the food out of the fridge, and just wants to be in the middle of it all.
Shailey had fun on our adventure to visit her great grandma and grandpa Ferrin. She gave them hugs and sang and danced. Hopefully someone has pictures to share!

This is Tater Tot. He keeps us busy. Tater loves to bark at the mail man, eat the garbage and sleep on the furniture when we aren't home. Bad Dog! We do love him, some of us more than others!
